Lots of things have been shifting, changing, falling in & out of place. And as I’m taking a step back to catch my breath, and get my hands dirty again,....I remind myself that I have so much to learn from the metal I work with every day. We change forms, from something beautiful into something broken, only to reach our melting point, fall soft into endless possibilities to be shaped to take on new life. I love this process, respecting the limits & constrains of metal whilst pushing creative boundaries. So adjusting those thoughts slightly: Yes,.... I recycle my metals,... I can geek out about stones & rocks.... in a pretty serious way. This custom cut Montana Sapphire is a one of a kind beauty... raw but refined.... it catches the light in a way that continues to amaze me. I had the joy of making this one-of-a-kind ring - just because a lesser ring would not have done the stone justice. Pavé set diamonds as an accent & 14k gold to bring out the clear blue of the Sapphire,.... yes please!! #dyv127
